Beautiful Spring Wedding at The Lodge at Malibou Lake in Agoura Hills

Spring is one of the busy seasons for weddings in Southern California, and with the amazing weather and blue skies it’s no wonder why. I had the pleasure of documenting Haley & Daniel’s beautiful spring wedding at The Lodge at Malibou Lake in Agoura Hills. The Lodge at Malibou Lake provides a breathtaking backdrop for a romantic and unforgettable celebration in Los Angeles County. At The Lodge at Malibou Lake, there are countless spots for photos, from the tranquil Lake Malibou to the lush greenery that surrounds the venue.

The couple started their day off by getting ready with their wedding party members. The bride was off-site at a private residence getting ready with her bridesmaids before getting dressed at the venue and the groom got ready in one of the private suites at The Lodge at Malibou Lake. The couple exchanged private letters to read before they shared a first look. For many couples, the first look is a special and intimate moment where they see each other for the first time before the ceremony.

After the first look, the couple had a ketubah signing ceremony. This couple had a beautiful ketubah adorned with delicate flowers, butterflies, and two large trees that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of The Lodge at Malibou Lake.

The ceremony took place on The Great Lawn which has amazing trees and lush greenery. Following the ceremony, the couple took a few portraits over on the serene Malibou Lake while their guests enjoyed cocktail hour. The couple's guests were able to enjoy the scenery and delicious hors d'oeuvres on the outdoor patio, which overlooks the lake and surrounding mountains.

The reception took place in the gorgeous ballroom, complete with a cozy fireplace and rustic decor. The reception was filled with a beautiful mix of florals in colors that perfectly captured the essence of spring. The florals included shades of blue, champagne, pink, white, and terracotta. For their reception, the couple chose to have live musicians, in addition to a DJ, who provided an amazing atmosphere and kept the party going throughout the reception. The couple shared a first dance, parent dances, and the horah, which were joyous and unforgettable moments during their reception.
